Thousands of foreigners continued their exodus from Libya as Moammar Kadafi reportedly deployed mercenaries to quell protests in Tripoli. To the east, guest workers stood in line for hours to board three ships as they evacuated the port city of Benghazi, currently under the control of anti-government protesters. In the Tunisian border town of Ras Ajdir, refugees flooded the barren landscape as they jostled for space on buses ferrying evacuees from Libya.
